Exploring Innovation and Tech Industry
Most Manufacturing Companies in Africa are still simply coupling products made Abroad 🤔
The skills set required to take over the manufacturing industry is basically ideas. We automatically have man power, we have land and resources but we failed to invest in innovation at the early days, now we are at catching up level, instead of leading stage. Right from days that we imported pencils and rulers while we exported the woods and lead used to make them. From raw materials to finished goods, African countries have "more than needed" to produce things or products with almost close to zero dependence on other countries for "needed properties" or components.
Nigerian built products are limited to mostly been coupled and our available options are limited to what has been made already. If it has not been made, we won't have it. For Hospitals that came up with new equipment ideas, they manufactured them abroad. Presently, there are zero tech manufacturering plants in Nigeria, that does its own components, paneling and programming.
TECH Products, Solutions Manufacturing Industries
If we are to foresee the future, I bet from the hinting inventions we are making today, we might see less of PMS, diesel or Gas powered products. The future investments game changer is to, invest in "Manufacturing industry." Naturally population can be converted to power and economy. We only just need to know how to. With several plants manufacturing different types of world needed products, we would be making billions from exportation.
Especially African Technology, I call it that because inventions from Africa would have the African vibe, it would have authenticity of first inventors, it would path ways to things we never thought of before.
From my work station way back in 2016, I developed several "Solve Africa's Problems" ideas and when it came time to reach out to government to share these ideas, I discovered doing so was difficult. There were no channels or mediums to communicate with key political personalities. So if a Nigerian was to have an amazing solution idea for Ghana and felt, the right person to talk to is the Ghanaian President, reaching out to him as of then was futile. I expected, there would be digital means already. Today, we may have digital solutions but they are not implemented. To function properly and fully, all systems should be operational fully. These are my take on the overall basic observation touching innovation and tech industry in Nigeria, and Africa.
I foresee the biggest tech Solutions and manufacturing plants in Africa, would be sited in Nigeria. Be part of it.
